The picture on the left is my long arm quilting machine. I operate it completely manually and do not use any computerized programing. I either use rulers or various types, or more often, I simply maneuver the machine to stitch where I want it to stitch. This "free motion" quilting style guarantees that no two quilts I produce are exactly the same.
The middle and right pictures are examples of the quilting I produce. Some of the stitches are very angular, while others appear completely serendipitous. I try to respond to the pattern and also tie my quilting patterns into what I know about the recipient.
